Project Lead The Way

There is a critical shortage of engineers entering the profession at a time when technology is constantly changing. According to Project Lead the Way , "The number of job openings is increasing due to the surge in the technical fields; however, today more than 1.3 million engineering-related jobs are left unfilled."

Project Lead the Way is nonprofit organization that promotes pre-engineering courses for middle and high school students. Currently, over 250,000 students in 2,300 high school and middle schools in all 50 states are enrolled in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses. PLTW is a four-year engineering program that prepares students for the expanding field of engineering. PLTW courses integrate science, technology, engineering, and math.
