Shadow a Current Student for a Day!

CMH offers current 7th and 8th grade students the opportunity to come and shadow a current CMH freshman or sophomore. It is a great way to see the school, meet students, teachers and coaches as well as experience what classes will be like.

FAQs

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • What occurs on a shadow day?

You will “shadow” your host throughout his or her day of classes and get a feel for the academic and social aspects of student life at CMH. You will get to experience why it is so great to be a Crusader.
  • Who can shadow at CMH?

We encourage all 7th and 8th grade students to spend the day at CMH. 8th grade students may schedule their shadow days beginning in the middle of September (first semester). 7th grade students may schedule a visit starting in the middle of January (second semester).
  • How do I schedule a shadow day?

You can setup your son or daughter’s shadow day by filling out the form for the shadow event date of their choice on the right side of this page. If you prefer to schedule over the phone for a specific day, call Ann Marie Grubich at (262) 542-7101 ext. 553.
  • Whom will I shadow during my visit to CMH?

Our goal is to help you have the best day possible. We can match you with a freshman or sophomore student that shares similar academic and extracurricular interests. Or if you know a current CMH student that you would like to shadow, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
  • Where and when should I arrive?

Please arrive and enter through the main entrance of CMH (off College Ave. and into the circle drive) to the Admissions Office (up the stairs, first office on the right) at 7:15 a.m. to meet your shadow host. The school day begins at 7:25 a.m. so we like to give you some time to get situated. The school day ends at 2:39 p.m. and students may be picked up at the main entrance.

  • What else do I need to know?

CMH takes care of lunch for each shadowing student with a $4 voucher. If you’d like to purchase a snack from the Spirit Shop during the day, be sure to bring a few extra dollars. Shadowing students may also bring a book or magazine to read in case of short study or work times during classes.

Tour Our School

We encourage all parents to take a tour of our school. There is no better way to get a feel for the experience of a school day at Catholic Memorial High School than to come here and see it for yourself. To schedule a tour, please contact Kristin Hartung in the Admissions Office via email.
