Catholic Memorial Family!
The success that CMH athletics has had over the years is due to the commitment of our student athletes, first-class coaches, and supportive fans. To be a student-athlete at Catholic Memorial High School requires a great deal of time and energy to balance the academic load with the time required with training to excel. Our coaches are the best in the state with multiple league and state level coaches of the year. Our parents, teachers, administrators, and fans are passionate supporters of CMH athletics and play an important role in the success of our programs.
Catholic Memorial High School offers a variety of sports for both boys and girls. We challenge you to play multiple sports when you are here at CMH. We want you to value being a teammate and thrive in competitive environments. Our multi-sport philosophy as a school is proven to benefit all of our programs and student-athletes.
While winning games is a high priority for our athletic department, learning valuable life lessons through the participation in sports is the ultimate goal. We believe that participation in sports closely models life itself and provides an opportunity for kids to grow and mature into adulthood. Some of the lessons our student athletes are taught through participation in sports include: teamwork, commitment, discipline, servant leadership, hard work, toughness, sportsmanship, perseverance, and sacrifice. Our head football coach, Bill Young, summarizes it best when he says, “Building champions while pursuing championships. Bottom line, we need to keep educating these young kids through athletics.” We are really here to build young men and women of character and to prepare them for the journey of life that lies ahead of them.
There is a lot of excitement surrounding our school and athletic programs – we are fired up for another season!!
